Fee Structure

Meadowlark Psychology provides counselling services for adolescents and young people aged 12-25 and psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents aged 6-16.

  • Individual Therapy Fees

    Session Fee

    $270 AUD per 50-minute consultation

    Appointments are billed at the standard session rate unless otherwise agreed in advance.

    Payment is processed automatically via Halaxy at the time of your appointment.

    Medicare Rebates

    Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from a GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

    A valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan must be in place prior to the session for rebates to be processed.

    Rebates are submitted electronically following payment. The remaining gap is your out-of-pocket cost.

    Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment are charged the full session fee.

    Consultation Services (Non-Session)

    Brief parent check-ins, school liaison, and case coordination not attended by the client are billed separately.

    • Consultation under 15 minutes: no charge

    • Consultation exceeding 15 minutes: billed at $150 per hour, calculated in 15-minute increments

    • A minimum 30-minute fee ($75) applies once consultation exceeds 15 minutes

    Consultation services are not eligible for Medicare rebates and are provided with explicit consent. Where applicable, an invoice will be issued via Halaxy.

  • Psychoeducational Assessments

    • Comprehensive Assessment — $3,000 AUD

    Payment Structure

    A $1,000 AUD deposit is required to secure an assessment booking. An invoice for the deposit will be issued via Halaxy. Assessment appointments are confirmed once the deposit has been received.

    The remaining balance ($2000 AUD) is payable prior to release of the written report:

    Reports are typically provided within 3–4 weeks of the final assessment session, subject to the timely return of questionnaires and requested information.

    Cancellations & Withdrawal

    Assessment appointments involve extended booking blocks that are not easily reallocated. Cancellations or postponements with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

    Where more than 72 hours’ notice is provided, the deposit may be transferred once to a rescheduled appointment.

    If an assessment is discontinued after testing has commenced, fees will reflect professional time and work already undertaken.

    Scope & Limitations

    The assessment fee includes one feedback session and a comprehensive written report. Requests for additional meetings, extended liaison, or substantial report amendments beyond factual corrections are considered additional services and billed separately with explicit consent.

    Medico-legal reports, court-related matters, and legal correspondence are not provided, except where disclosure is required by law.

    Psychoeducational assessments are generally not eligible for Medicare or private health rebates.
